This piece was woven as wedding gift, symbolizing good fortune, prosperity, and protection for the newlyweds.

Age & Authenticity: Over 80 years old, made entirely with natural dyes and hand-spun wool, reflecting the artistry of Baluch nomadic weavers.

Purpose & Tradition: Given as a wedding gift, it was put over the neck or band at the chest of horse or donkey during celebrations, emphasizing the importance of the event. The decorative elements were meant to bless the couple with happiness and abundance.

Colors & Patterns: Rich, warm hues from natural dyes—deep reds, blacks, ochres, and browns. Tribal geometric motifs representing protection, fertility, and nomadic identity. Tassels in vibrant contrasting colors, symbolizing joy and celebration.

Symbolism: The tassels and patterns were believed to ward off evil spirits and ensure a prosperous marriage, making this textile deeply symbolic.
